Hi, my name is Sarah and I am a visual artist based in North Cork, Ireland.

My artistic journey started in 2014 with my degree in Visual Art on Sherkin Island. I have always been a maker, exploring and playing with different materials over the years.

My textile journey started in 2020 with the onset of Covid and my elderly parent moving from my childhood home. This uncovered letters and photos from my childhood and down the rabbit hole of memory and recollection I went! I have a childhood history of hospitals and treatment for haemangiomas (vascular birthmarks which affected my sight and skin), particularly in London, so my work explores this. I also play with fun motifs of childhood, play, imagination and discovery.
